The Department of Romance Languages seeks to build a pool of qualified applicants for possible instructional positions in French, Italian, and Spanish (lower and upper-division language and culture classes and upper-division literature and linguistic classes). Positions are non-tenure-track and may be part-time, temporary, or of limited duration not to exceed one year without further competitive search. Screening of applications will take place as positions become available and continue until positions are filled. Contract offer is contingent upon demonstration of professional level proficiency (e.g. ACTFL Superior).
Applicants must have a M.A. in the relevant Romance language or related field. For upper-division literature, culture and linguistics courses, a Ph.D. is required.
Our multi-sectioned programs value creative teachers who work well in a collaborative environment. The successful candidates will have the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety or diverse backgrounds. Candidates should submit documentation of (1) successful college-level teaching experience appropriate to our lower- and upper-division needs; (2) experience in curriculum development, proficiency assessment, service learning, or other areas of program development.
